Laughing Out Loud

Laugh Out Loud

Get back your laughing spirit. We know it’s good. If not one the of best things in life. When you find yourself caught in the laughing bubble you are completely living the moment. Eckhart Tolle, Author of The Power Of Now, would be so ple ased!

If you can’t remember the last time you laughed, and laughed hard, here are our tips for re-emergence:

1. Start your own laughing group.
And yes it will feel completely and utterly weird and awkward but worth going through these feelings for the outcome. No one will embrace it until they are laughing at how ridiculous it is whilst also feeling so good.

2. Watch any movie with Will Ferrell.
Wedding Crashes, Old School. or Vince Vaughn… the opening scene of wedding crashes is so good.  Seinfeld or Larry David if you like awkward humour.

4. Check out a Comedy Show.
Even if it’s not great. The anticipation of laughing will get you there.

5. Fake it to you make it.
Start fake laughing and keep it going until it turns into a full-blown real laugh. It will. Just be patient. Give it time.

6. Your go-to mates that always make you laugh. Meet them in a public place for dinner, and run off every laugh they bring to the table.

7. Search Memes.
There are awesome ones out there. People really get creative with this.

8. Start the ball rolling yourself. Lighten things up. Shake things up. Take it to the gutter if you have to (if appropriate). Interject the air with some cheekiness.

9. Always suggest finding someone
to laugh with. The doubled energy makes it double effective.

10. Try not to laugh.
Sometimes reverse psychology is a good trick. Particularly if you are in a place where laughing is the last thing you should be doing. Yes completely in-appropriate, however very memorable.

11. Learn how to laugh at yourself.
For example, observing your crazy behaviour when in an interesting situation. E.g. when you have a crush on someone, when you need to control bodily noises, when you are doing something for the first time, when you are conversing with your siblings and are acting like a 5 year old, when you are preaching, etc.

12. Keep finding the ‘weekend at bernie’ look-a-likes. There is something seriously funny about big, cover your face, moustaches.

13. Smile.
For as intently and long as you can. You will eventually start laughing, at yourself potentially and the reactions of others thinking you are a crazy person.

Got any laughing tips to share. We want to keep adding to this list. The best list we have ever created.
