About Rosanna Piers

Rosanna specialises in delivering relationship skills training, and coaching clients who want to either find and develop a committed relationship, improve a current relationship or seek empowerment in toxic relationships. Her caring and empowering style encourages her clients to safely explore and challenge the barriers to finding and/or creating strong, fulfilling relationships. Rosanna’s integrative practice – which is informed by the latest research in positive psychology – includes solution focused, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic coaching. This coaching assists her clients to clarify their relationship goals and align their thinking and behaviour with their desired relationship outcomes. Rosanna dynamically supports her clients in achieving their bespoke goals, adapting goals and using feedback and feedforward strategies where appropriate. The relationship skills training Rosanna offers is generally delivered in a small group setting, and coaching is either delivered individually or in a couple depending on the client’s preferences and safety.

Experience

  • Some of the major clients Rosanna has worked with in a training capacity include: The University of Tasmania, The University of Sydney, UTS, The University of Queensland, SEEK, Relationships Australia, The Australian Bureau of Statistics, Wesley Mission, Lifeline, RACGP and the Motor Trades Association of Australia.
  • Using evidence based coaching tools Rosanna has coached clients in toxic relationships, divorced clients reentering the dating pool and clients looking to improve their relationships. She has delivered both couple and one-to-one coaching sessions.
  • Coaching topics vary and have included: emotional availability, healthy boundaries, cognitive distortion, self-esteem issues, conflict resolution skills and dating practise.
  • Previous coaching experience has also included coaching new trainers in conducting interventions and delivering mental health training; and coaching student science teachers, where she implementing a coaching sequence involving pre and post lesson discussions, constructive feedback, lesson observations and team teaching.

Qualifications:

Master trainer, trainer of mental health first aid, youth mental health first aid and applied suicide intervention skills.
